Yes, all custom items made by The Wildwood are made to order. We may have some pre-made or limited time items in the shop from time to time, but those will still be one-of-a-kind pieces. Anything custom is made from scratch according to the customer’s personal design style.

This shocks many people, but they weigh as much as a normal handbag. We use wood thin enough to be lightweight, but thick enough to be sturdy.

As you would any other handbag you own - with a damp cloth. Although our bags have a thick layer of a clear protected coat on them, they are not designed to be soaked in water (they are still wood after all). But a damp cloth won’t do any damage.
